Type or die.

Part of learning a new keyboard layout is actually using it and practicing.
I started using a quite friendly program called Ten Thumbs to learn Dvorak, but my trial ended and i only had learned about 50% of the KB.
After that, i remembered i had read in a magazine about a typing horror game of sorts, called “Typing of the dead”. So i googled it up, and it turns out it’s been marked as abandonware since late 2006, so it’s pretty much a free download if you can find it.

The game is actually a mock up of “The house of the dead 2″ a shooter-on-rails about zombies with one the worst script i’ve ever seen (not to mention the voice acting). But instead of shooting the zombies, you get to type a word or phrase depending on the difficulty of the creature. It really adds hilarity to the whole thing that the protagonist uses a keyboard and carries a super sized battery and a dreamcast on it’s back.

Anyways, this thing is really fun, and even tho it gets old easily; the drill mode keeps you typing top notch in a fun way.

Hey, i’m finally back (somehow). Good news though, i finally finished moving and i love my new home; mom got a few complications regarding her operation, but she’s been fine for a good three weeks now.

On other news, i switched to Dvorak (goodbye good ole qwerty) Pics of the awesome conversion follow:

I’m still learning, but i can touch type already (2 weeks after the mod)

I’m thinking about switching to carplax’s XBUL layout, since they say it overrules Dvorak but… damn; maybe later xD.

Well, this i missed yesterday’s daily sketch; and i did do something today, but it totally sucks.

Also, i’m hungry and high on OJ (YES, ORANGE JUICE; FFFFUCK) right now.

by the by; that HAWT 80’s dream machine ( AKA Yamaha DD-05) became mine for the awesome quantity of 20 US dollars. Brand NEW, guise; i swear.  I don’t know how the fuck it got intact to my hands (these babies were produced back in ‘88), but it did… and i love it; even if it sounds cheesy and stupidly robotic.

AND ONLY FOR 20 DOLLARS HOLY SHIT.

Daily Sketches (july 3 and 4)

So, i went on and donated blood for mum’s operation (she’s getting surgery next week) and i took it as an excuse for being lazy on friday (day 4).

BTW:

As i was laying down on the table, with my blood being drawn; i got into this euphoric mood and started laughing like crazy; the nurse that was in shift, started asking me if i was fine; i answered laughing: “yeah, it just feels weird”. I started feeling cold all of a sudden, and she kept asking if i felt fine;”Yeah, i’m fi-” not having finished my phrase, this other doctor walks in and looks me in the eye, only to ask the nurse:
“was this man THIS pale when he came in?”
- “well, no; but he says he’s fine”
-”and i say the SKY is orange… kid do you feel cold or dizzy by any chance?”

i burst into laughter and told him it happened when he walked in. All he did was lift the blood bag to the bed and told me to slow the hand presses.  The euphoria ended and it was all downhill from there. And they gave me apple juice  and a sammich :3.

I did not do a daily sketch on day 3 mainly because i worked around with the panda’s coloring. here’s a WIP

Also, i fucked up my mac’s hard drive while installing windoze and had to completely re-format.
God bless the Leopard team for making Time Machine, my documents and settings were kept exceptionally tidy; not to mention it was fast and easy to recover them.

Too bad i don’t have enough space for the system and applications backup, i would’ve saved a lot of time getting my apps back.

Anyways; i now can boot to MacOS or Windoze in 30 seconds or so, and i love it.
After that, OC session with Allethaen and Denryuu; THIS came out (trying out my hand at Klesk’s style)

so, i got about 4 hours of sleep yesterday; not to mention i had to go to the gym and nearly died of exhaustion. BUT THAT DON’T MATTER CUZ IMMA GO TO GET SOME RIB EYE TODAY FUCKERSSSSS.

also, daily sketch thing go!i did myself and two of the gang as furries just for kicks… i’ll finish the series later, and i might even do a group pic (sounds fun, huh!?)

So, here i am again…  was watching some boondocks and kind of got some inspiration from it.

BTW i watched Kung fu panda today. The Mexican dub is good, but not perfect ( i disliked the fact that they used the same voice actor for The incredibles’ Syndrome). I’ve gotta watch the original voice acting to see what i missed. And BOY that 2D sequence at the beggining PWNS the whole movie; i swear.

Daily sketches (june 29)

well, i’m actually cheating; these are yesterday’s sketches. and the ones i did today; i’ll keep them safe ’till further notice.

this be heather meowing too fucking hard, don’t ask why. And some sort of brainstorming doodles.. nothing important. really.

7 horas de sueño y contando… (en reversa)

Pues si, me duele la cabeza y miro el reloj cada cinco o diez minutos. Tengo sueño; pero no tengo ganas de dormir…  hoy me esperan a las 9 A.M. para un curso de embalaje de obra (lienzos y demás) y lo peor es que al parecer estare ahí hasta las 8 P.M. para lo cual tendre que caminar hasta mi casa o conseguir quien me adelante pues aún no saco mi licencia…
Estuve pensando que tengo mucho que hacer, pero pocas ganas de hacerlas; no sólo es eso malo, si no que a cada momento que pasa, la cosa se pone peor (efecto bola de nieve). Acabo de salir de vacaciones, y como ya no tengo excusa para dejar de hacer las cosas, he de hacerlas (cosa que me da una hueva inmensa).

.- sacar la IFE de nuevo
.- sacar la licencia
.- terminar aquel dibujo
.- y hacer dos mas para unos *trades*
.- comprar el hub de USB
.- Conseguir un trabajo para pagar lo anterior
.- hacer un CV y un portafolio para lo anterior
.- Dormir.

Si, había olvidado que TENGO que dormir… Si supiesen los pedos en los que me meto por olvidar… Tengo mala memoria, y lo único que puedo recordar con certeza es que olvido fácilmente las cosas.

“Si las cosas fueran fáciles, cualquiera las haría…”  Sí; pero si todas las cosas fueran divertidas, ¿Quién no las haría?
Digo, el Derecho no es sencillo; pero ya me chuté mas de la mitad de “Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney” Por el simple hecho que es divertido (y bué, esta simplificadísimo el derecho ahí… pero ese no es mi punto).

Putas, ya divagué…

Igual; quedará para el record, que pocos conocerán, y muchos menos leerán a conciencia…
